Welcome to April’s update from the Learning and Development team. This month, Claire McCarthy, Leadership and Career Solutions Lead, tells us all about the development opportunities available to our colleagues.
Leadership and Management Programmes
- Do you find some colleagues respond better to receiving feedback than others?
- Do you want to feel more confident when delivering constructive feedback to colleagues?
- Do you strive to give more ‘in the moment’ feedback to help drive your team’s performance?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then the ‘Just in Time’ topic is for you!
In this topic, we’ll cover what feedback is, empathetic listening, different feedback models and the skills needed to give effective feedback.

Each live online sessions runs for 90 minutes and is delivered via MS Teams.

Thursday 4th July – Providing Development Opportunities for Colleagues
Each session runs from 10.00am-11.00am and is delivered through MS Teams.
The Managers Clubs are a great opportunity for you to join your peers, and share your challenges and best practice. Subject Matter Expects on each topic will lead the discussions, talk about their experiences and share insights into each subject so you leave with new perspectives to help drive best performance within your team.

The Q2 Learning and Development Calendar is now available to view on Colleagues Connect here. The calendar details all the mandatory training to be completed in Quarter 2 (28th April – 27th July) for each trading group, as well as the development opportunities available to our colleagues.
