Covid Update following Government Announcement

Firstly, thank you for your ongoing support helping to protect each other and our customers at this time.

Following the announcement this afternoon by the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, on measures being taken to help tackle the rise in COVID-19 cases it is of the utmost importance that we all continue to adhere to the guidelines and measures in place across the various areas to help protect colleagues and customers, keeping us all safe. 

The importance of wearing face coverings was re-emphasised with people in the hospitality and retail sectors now having to wear them. This is in line with our existing policy anyway, which you can view here.

Colleagues should also continue to focus on the basics of washing hands, application of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following the social distance measures in place that we have all been trained on to help keep our colleagues and customers safe.

For those colleagues whose role involves visiting sites, you should only make visits if needed and if they are essential to the running of the operation. Any of these colleagues who need essential PPE should contact their line manager in the first instance.

The Government also announced that people should work from home where they can and therefore, we will again be advising those colleagues in support roles, whose role can be performed appropriately at home to do so.  For those colleagues whose roles are essential or critical and who must come into the office to perform their role, they can continue to do so. The appropriate COVID secure measures are in place for their safety.
