Supporting our Food stores - Back to store has started!ππ
Our Christmas Back to Store programme has begun and this week we feature how our support colleagues got on while helping out in-store. Providing an opportunity for colleagues to give back during the busy Christmas period, there's also the chance to meet new faces and see how our stores operate in the lead up to the big day. A thank you to everyone involved in supporting our stores so far.
Cerys Fields β Supply Chain Administer β Food Retail
For my back to store day, I got the pleasure of going to Bidford Food Market. Upon arrival, I was introduced to Jack, who gave me a walk around the store and showed me all the safety points. He then introduced me to the team and paired me with a friendly colleague to work with for the day.
We worked through leftover delivery and replenished the shelves with any extra stock in the warehouse. Later, my colleague showed me how to do a count on the new HHTs, and I got to work on inputting the numbers while he counted the different lines.
Overall, I had a great day and got a good insight into store working again. I got to meet a friendly, hardworking, and welcoming team and I am glad that I took part. π
Reece Leel (HR Graduate Trainee) & Zeb Ahrangzeb (Resourcing Coordinator)
Myself and fellow HR colleague Zeb Ahrangzeb travelled down to the Codsall Food Market to complete our back to floor day, the colleagues working in-store couldnβt have been more kind and welcoming from the minute we arrived.
It was a fun and interesting experience to return to the shop floor, not only to see what great jobs our Food Retail colleagues are doing each day, but also to get involved and feel like youβre making a difference!
Our responsibility for the day was to fill (and rotate) the bread aisle, and then we moved on to fizzy drinks, Xmas and meal-deal aisles where we filled the shelves to the best of our capacity, much to the satisfaction of Simon the store manager. Overall we had an excellent day and look forward to being able to help out again.β
Aly Hull β Resourcing Manager

Each year I go back to the Bath Road store and every time the team are always so welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I would like to say a huge thank you to Cameron and the fab Bath Road team as I had such a great day!
