Colleagues took to the skies for Gloucestershire Young Carers - Well done! β
After many months of cancellations, 6 colleagues from Food stores across the Forest of Dean region finally managed to complete their courageous skydive for the Gloucestershire Young Carers.
On 10th October they helped raise in excess of Β£3,200 for their Regional Community charity partner. Taking place at Salisbury airfield, the team reached heights of 13,500ft before parachuting down to the ground. This was all in aid of the charity who they work with and for children and young people aged 8 to 24 who have caring responsibilities at home. A big well done and congratulations to all of the colleagues who took part. πππ
Sally Gillespie from Gloucestershire Young Carers said: βWe are blown away by the generosity and braveness of The Midcounties Co-operative colleagues who got involved in the skydive, but also to those who have donated to the fundraiser too. The donations will go such a long way to helping all those that we work with, and we really are touched by the kindness everyone has shown.β
An incredible achievement by our colleagues, check out some of the pictures below. ππ
