A Thank you to all our Funeralcare colleagues

With the majority of our Funeral business transferring to Central England or other Co-operative Societies, this week sees the end of an era for our incredible Funeralcare colleagues. We would like to give a big thank you to all our colleagues who have supported our local communities over the years, in particular throughout the pandemic.

We’re really proud and thankful for all the commitment shown during these tough times where you, our colleagues, have shown determination, strength and resilience in supporting our bereaved in a time where many challenges have had to be overcome.

“The Funeral Group have been a mainstay of service to Midcounties members and our communities for decades, and the service and dedication that our colleagues repeatedly display on a daily basis cannot be understated. I am immensely proud of the high standards of professionalism that we all have.

We have had a very challenging 20 or so months, but front to back and top to bottom, all of our colleagues remained focussed on helping…. Helping clients and each other through. This goes for our Funeral Support, Managerial, Operational, Ceremonial, Arranging and Memorial colleagues. I wish everyone the very best of health and luck in the future, in whatever direction life takes them, whether that be with another Co-operative or a new focus. Above all, I want to say thank you to everyone, and a very big well done.”
