Do you know an organisation whose aims reflect those of the Society and the co-operative movement? If you do, then the Campaigns Fund is here for them.
What is the Campaigns Fund?
The Campaigns Fund is a specialist fund that is intended to support campaigning activities that promote the aims of co-operation in the public and political arena and supports the objectives and priorities of the Society.
The Fund is open to applicants from any organisation whose aims reflect those of the Society and the co-operative movement.
A few examples of organisations we have funded previously:
-
Compassion in World Farming International (‘CIWF’) used the funding to launch a multimedia campaign to raise awareness of their mission to end all factory farming practices.
-
Keep Britain Tidy used the funding for the production of policy briefing papers at key points in the Environmental Bill’s progress, as well as bringing key stakeholders together through Tidy Britain All-Party Parliamentary Group events.
-
Birmingham Friends of the Earth used the funding to campaign for a more sustainable waste system in Birmingham.
-
NHS Support Federation used the funding to run an awareness-raising campaign to improve community involvement in the decisions about healthcare services and to help hold local and national decision makers to account.
How to apply?
If you know of an organisation that would benefit from the funding for their campaigning activities, then please let the Secretariat team know. More information including procedures and criteria for the Fund can be found here.
The Campaigns Fund closes at 5pm on 1st November.
