We know that you are doing an incredible job, going above and beyond to help our members, customers and fellow colleagues, whilst adapting to this ever-changing and challenging time. We continue to be really grateful for all you’re doing, thank you.

One example is the below thank you letter from the City Councillor for Hucclecote, David Brown. This letter was sent into the Management and staff at Hucclecote Co-op, well done on supporting the local community and showing our Values through this difficult period. 👍

20% Payday discount in Food stores

As it is Payday tomorrow, all Midcounties colleagues can take advantage of the 20% discount available in all food stores. Running from Friday 5^th – Sunday 7^th June, this can be used across all our stores, being applied at the checkout.

World Environment Day tomorrow – take part!

Join us tomorrow to celebrate World Environmental Day and help change our world! From 10am, we will be showing our dedicated World Environment Day video on our website and facilitating discussion and feedback on important environmental issues.

As colleagues, we would really like your feedback on the 1 Change that you feel our Society could make to further defend the environment. This is your chance to influence our Society’s Environmental agenda and all feedback will be reviewed by the Society’s Environmental Steering Group, who will select opportunities for us to implement into our business practices.

Simply visit our website here to provide direct feedback on the 1 Change you would like our Society to make to further defend the environment.

Don’t worry if you are unable to take part tomorrow, as we will be hosting the video and facilitating your feedback through our website until the 19^th of June.

Thumbs Up #TeamMC 👍

We want you to share a picture of yourself and/or your team with your thumbs up and include a sentence outlining why you’ve given yourself, your team or a team member a ‘thumbs up’ today, along with the hashtag #TeamMC.

E.g. it could be some great customer feedback you’ve had for going above and beyond. Or something you’ve done to help the community that they’re proud of. Or just that the team is Okay.

You can share these either on your group's Facebook groups or by simply sending it to thumbsup@midcounties.coop

Elena, Ainoa, The Society has provided 9 weeks of colleague benefits, a genuine gesture of thanks for all our Frontline Colleagues. The standard operating procedures are there to guide you and protect you, the team around you and the children in your care - we are all in this together and we continue to be grateful for all that you are doing during this challenging time, thank you. We appreciate the 20% of discount but truly doesn't worth it for out hard work on the last month's. Always we are short of staff but during the coronavirus pandemic we had to follow more rules and get more stress at work. Our compensation to us from your side has been ridiculous, it seems we doesn't matter and we are just numbers easy to replace. 20% discount is fine but is nothing compared of the things we deserve.

I appreciate the 20% food discount, but with all the new rules being set in our jobs due to the coronavirus, I don't think it's enough to say "thank you" and have 20% food discount for one weekend a month, I think that we deserve something more and this company is not offering any benefits. The lack of motivation of the staff is totally understandable.
