Thank you
We know that you are doing an incredible job, going above and beyond to help our members, customers and fellow colleagues, whilst adapting to this ever-changing and challenging time. We continue to be really grateful for all you’re doing, thank you.
Our customers think you’re doing a great job too and like so many have taken the time to let us know, like this customer who wrote in about our Hollyfield Road store saying:
“This is my local shop and following the current situation with Covid-19, I’ve used this store more often in recent weeks. It’s always had everything I have needed when I visit and the admittance procedure to the store and social distancing is strictly observed. The staff are very courteous and very helpful. Especially Sophie on the checkout who’s always very cheerful! Many thanks, you’re doing a great job in difficult times.”
Supporting local supplier Just Crisps facing crunch time
We are incredibly proud of how we work with local farmers and suppliers and our collaboration with them in recent weeks has been key to us ensuring we can continue to meet the needs of our customers.
It’s also great to know that we’re giving local suppliers like Just Crisps, who saw an immediate impact on demand for its products as a result of pubs, restaurants, and hotels closing across the UK, vital support at this time.
We’ve featured the partnership with Just Crisps and the difference it’s made in local press, which you can read here. In case you missed it, you can view the video the team from Just Crisps sent to us thanking colleagues for the support they have received - click here.
Isolation Conversation
At this time, we have a number of colleagues that are self-isolating. So, recently we set up a message board “isolation conversation” on Colleagues Connect where you can simply say hello, send messages to those self-isolating or simply give them something to smile about.
The Isolation conversation message board can be accessed here, so why not leave a message today!
Free Prescription Delivery to Shielding Colleagues
For colleagues that are shielding (as defined by the government) our Pharmacy Group can provide free NHS Prescription deliveries direct to your home or nominated address. If you would like to take advantage of this then simply sign up for the electronic prescription service, (EPS). To do this choose your local branch, or if you do not have one select the home delivery option at bottom of the branch page which can be accessed here.
Once you have selected your branch then click the Sign Me up button in the electronic prescription service box and we will do the rest. You do not need to inform your GP or surgery as this will be taken care of. The next time you order a prescription it will then be delivered by Co-op Pharmacy.
Midcounties AGM
Given the restrictions arising from the coronavirus pandemic we will be holding the Society’s Annual General Meeting in May online. We are planning to make the event as engaging and interactive as we can ensuring members will have the opportunity to raise questions to the Board and senior management, in a live environment and for the first time, to vote online.
The AGM will take place on Saturday 16 May from 10:00am – 12:00 noon.
Further details and how to register can be found here.
This is a great opportunity to understand more about your Society, and we’d be grateful for your support in joining the meeting.
Information on P60 Forms
P60 forms for the tax year 2019-2020 have now been created and are available on the payroll portal under Payment Date 11/3/2020 and Payment ID 2019-P13.
The documents can be accessed the same way you would view your Payslip.
These are for all colleagues who were employed during the tax year, received a payment before 5th April 2020 and paid income tax and/or National insurance contributions.
This is an important document and should be kept for a minimum of 3 years as HMRC can request this information at any time.
Please check your personal details on this document. If any are incorrect then please ask your manager to update your records on IFS.
HMRC will automatically be notified of your change of address in the payment file sent from Midcounties after each pay day or you may contact them to update your details direct on:
- 0300 200 3300
If you are having trouble logging onto the payroll portal, please ask your manager for assistance.
If they are unable to log you on, and resetting your password through FastPass does not work, a call must be raised through Service Now. You can access these through quick links here.
Thumbs Up #TeamMC - How you can get involved
We want you to share a picture of yourself and/or your team with your thumbs up and include a sentence outlining why you’ve given yourself, your team or a team member a ‘thumbs up’ today, along with the hashtag #TeamMC.
E.g. it could be some great customer feedback you’ve had for going above and beyond. Or something you’ve done to help the community that they’re proud of. Or just that the team is Okay.
You can share these either on your group's Facebook groups or by simply sending it to thumbsup@midcounties.coop
We will be posting regular Thumbs Up montages on the homepage of Colleagues Connect, so remember to log on and be reminded of what makes our Society so great, our colleagues. You can also take the chance to give them a pat on the back yourself by commenting on the post.
Check out the latest update here.
