Have you applied for Doing Good Together Funding for a good cause yet? As members, don’t forget colleagues can apply too and it’s quick and simple to do. We spoke to a few colleagues who’ve already started making a difference locally.
Thank you to everyone who has applied for funding on behalf of local good causes. As you can see from the figures above, you really are making a difference where you live and encouraging members to do the same.
If you’ve not nominated a local good cause yet, this pie chart showing the types of projects the funding allocated between September to December went towards might provide some inspiration.
It honestly is so quick and simple to apply and by doing so you’ll improve the lives of your customers and communities. So why not give it a go?
Don’t forget, the pot is refreshed on 1 April so there will soon be more money to go round.
Andrea Harvey-Hall from the Membership team
Andrea nominated WS7 Community Trips who provide day trips and holidays at affordable prices to tackle loneliness.
She says, “The application was so easy, and I felt so proud to be able to help people who are helping others.” Watch her video for more.
Lisa Birch from Old Town Travel in Swindon
Lisa and her team applied for funding for Prospect Hospice.
She says, “Applying for the grant is such an easy process, can be completed online, takes a few minutes to complete, and then all you have to do is wait for an answer.
“We have been thrilled to be able to help out Prospect Hospice here in Swindon. But it doesn’t always have to be big; we have also helped a local drop-in centre by providing tea and biscuits.
“If you know of a local group who need help mention DGT to them and if necessary, invite them in, get yourself online and complete the form, that's all it takes to make a difference.
“Don't let your pot of funds go to waste when you could be making a difference, no matter how big or small!”
