Electric Vehicle Charging Update

Published 31 Aug 2023 in Colleagues
From 4th September we'll be changing the way we're managing our Electric Vehicle Chargers.
The cost of charging an electric vehicle will vary depending on whether you’re a non-member, member or colleague:
-
Public – A competitive rate, in line with other EV charging providers
-
Members – Members who opt in will be able to access the exclusive 25% discount off the public rate
-
Colleagues – EV charging will continue to be free
Which EV chargers are affected?
We plan to roll this out to all our public EV chargers, but PodPoint public chargers are included in Phase 1 of the project (head office EV chargers will not be affected).
The list of sites included in Phase 1 are:
-
Badbury Park
-
Bicton Heath
-
Bourton on the Water
-
Chipping Norton
-
Churchstoke
-
Cleobury
-
Codsall
-
Stourport
When does this start?
The charge will be going live Monday 4th September.
Why are we making these changes?
Whilst we have been able to provide this service free of charge since installing the Electric Vehicle Chargers (EVCs), with the rising cost of energy and the chargers increased usage this is no longer viable.
What do Colleagues need to do?
If you want to be able to access the colleague rate at our public PodPoint EV chargers, all you need to do is sign into the PodPoint app using your Midcounties email address. The PodPoint app will recognise your email address is assigned to the colleague tariff and you'll be able to charge, free of charge!
What do Members need to do?
Members need to 'Opt in' to access the members rate. We have placed new signs with a QR code on the affected EV chargers. Members scan the QR code, which will take them here, and have the option to 'Opt in'. For info the QR code is here….
