Fairtrade and climate change 🌍

The theme for this year’s Fairtrade Fortnight is 'Choose the World you Want', reflecting the huge impact climate change is having on producers.

Farmers and workers in countries like Kenya, Ethiopia and Honduras are feeling the worst effects of climate change, despite doing the least to cause it.

Fairtrade puts more money into their pockets to enable them to use different farming methods and harness technology to adjust to the challenges climate changes bring.

Fairtrade producers are also committed to using organic and sustainable farming techniques that have less of an impact on the planet. Many are even planting trees to provide shade for their crops and actively improving the environment, which is great news for us all.
