In this week’s video blog, Phil visits Falcon Boat Club based in Oxford. A grant recipient of ours, they provide access to rowing and kayaking to people of all ages and community groups.
Who are Falcon Boat Club?
Supporting rowing and canoeing activities to local community groups within Oxford, the club have over 450 members, including people aged from under 18 to over 65. They partner with local schools, disability and other community groups to facilitate access to rowing and kayaking on the River Thames.
Did you know we gave the group £500 last November which enabled them to improve and increase the equipment available for the youth section helping us take more people out on the river? Since the pandemic, they also built their first boathouse which has enabled them to keep up with increased demand post lockdown.
