As a Midcounties colleague, there are a number of limited free flu jabs available in our pharmacy branches, details below. If you wish to make an appointment, please contact one of the branches directly by telephone.
How to book?
Simply call the pharmacy and arrange a suitable time for you to visit. With limited stock available, see here for branch information including phone numbers and locations.
You will need to take your Midcounties colleague card with you as proof you are a colleague.
Wear a loose-fitting top with sleeves that can be easily rolled up for your appointment.
During the consultation, the Pharmacist will check your details and make sure that the service is suitable for you.
You’ll be asked to stay for five minutes afterwards to make sure you’re feeling fine. Immediate serious side effects are extremely rare. However, our Pharmacists are fully trained in managing what is called ‘anaphylaxis’. If you’ve previously had an allergic reaction to a vaccine, you are allergic to egg, or you are feeling unwell on the day, you may not be able to receive the vaccine. The Pharmacist will discuss this with you during your consultation.
Your flu jab will be administered by a Pharmacist specially trained in vaccinations.
