Red Nose Day is being celebrated this Friday 17th March, so why not help fundraise in your site for a great cause?
Alongside the focus on your Regional Community or Keeping it Local Fundraising Partner, Comic Relief is one of the major UK charities that the Society encourages all colleagues to support.
Since its launch in 1988, the money raised has and will continue to make a difference in the lives of millions of people across the UK and around the world. Red Nose Day donations help tackle important issues in both the UK and across the world including homelessness, hunger, domestic abuse and mental health stigma.
As a Society, we are proud to support Comic Relief and happy for colleagues to get involved and support the campaign, by organising fundraising events at sites, click here to download the official resource pack.

Have fun but be considerate and ensure the fundraising is appropriate to your working environment.

Guess the numbers of sweets or guess the name (of a teddy/toy etc.) are all old favourites and easy to do.

Get baking – encourage colleagues to bake sweet or savoury treats to then sell. Please click here to read the guidance notes around allergens and food safety – this information is important to keep people safe.

Prize competitions (such as those above) and tombolas don’t need licences and are a great way to raise funds.

Raffles - please don’t organise these as we don’t have a licence as a Society for sites to do this.

Paying in a donation
Please note: To ensure that the charity receives the money you have raised quickly, funds should be banked via any Bank, Building Society or Post Office, following the guidelines given by Comic Relief - Please DO NOT pay your fundraising into the Society charity partner account using a PLU code or via your site cash statements.
