At Your Co-op, we're excited to embrace Pride Month 2024 with open arms. This month is not just about parades and rainbow flags; it’s a profound reminder of the ongoing fight for equality, recognition, and the right to love freely.
We're proud to stand with the LGBTQ+ community, celebrating the diversity and vibrancy it brings to our lives and our company.
A Few Facts About Why Pride Celebrations are in June in the UK
Pride Month commemorates the Stonewall riots of June 1969, a pivotal moment in the LGBTQ+ rights movement.
In the UK, Pride celebrations have become a significant part of the cultural landscape, showcasing the progress made and the journey ahead.
Cities across the country light up in rainbow colours, hosting a variety of events from parades to cultural exhibitions, all aimed at promoting inclusivity, equality, and love.
How Are We Going to Celebrate Pride at Your Co-op?
Your Co-op is committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected. This Pride Month, we've organised a series of events and initiatives to celebrate:

We encourage all stores/sites to host their own Rainbow Pride Day on Wednesday 26th June, a day of unity, to raise awareness, show our support for pride and raise funds for our chosen charity, the LGBT Foundation. For more information about the amazing work they do click here.

For those based in Warwick head office we will be celebrating with rainbow-themed dress days, luncheons, and activities to celebrate Pride, Watch this space!

Pride Parade Participation: We encourage all colleagues to show their support for Pride by attending a local event here.

For those in the catchment of our Warwick head office, we invite you to join us as we support Warwickshire Pride on Saturday 17th August 2024. Watch this space!
With it being Pride month, join in and share your fantastic Pride stories with Count Me In!
To share your story, simply fill in the short online form. What’s more, every story shared could win a £50 Your Co-op Food voucher and £100 donation to charity, in the "Count me in" prize draw. Happy Pride!

From London to Glasgow, cities across the UK are hosting events to celebrate Pride:
