Welcome to May’s update from the Learning and Development team. This month, Claire McCarthy, Leadership and Career Solutions Lead, tells us all about how you can get involved with Learning at Work Week 2024.
Learning at Work Week: 13th – 19th May 2024
This year’s Learning at Work week theme is ‘Learning Power’ – how lifelong and continual learning gives us the power to change, grow and achieve our individual, team and organisational goals.
So….what’s your learning superpower?
-
Power to Grow–using learning as a tool to help you grow, develop and reach your goals, taking opportunities.
-
Power to Connect – learning new things with others to build connections between people, ideas and practice, fostering new relationships, innovation, new prospectives and different ways of working.
-
Power to Engage–as things change and effect our lives and work, learning can help us to engage, respond and be resilient.
This Learning at Work Week, we’re asking you to unleash your learning superpower and take the challenge to:
-
Set yourself a goal
-
Learn something new to help you achieve your goal
-
Pledge to share your new learning with a colleague to encourage sharing, further learning and growing new skills and knowledge
-
Record a short video to tell us all about your learning experiences and how they’ve impacted your personal, development and/ or career goals!
Send all videos to: societylearningdevelopment@midcounties.coop
