What is National Apprenticeship Week?
An annual event, it's a great opportunity to celebrate our colleagues who successfully completed their apprenticeship in 2023. Taking time, dedication and commitment, we’ve very proud of everyone who has achieved their qualification!
Read Zac Carey's story!
Zac Carey, recently promoted to Convenience Compliance Manager, tells us why he decided to complete his Retail Manager Level 4.
‘I chose to complete the apprenticeship to further develop my skills and knowledge in the retail industry. The benefits included gaining real-world experience, earning a recognised qualification, and being equipped with a well-rounded skill set that enhances future career opportunities.
Completing the apprenticeship exposed me to various areas of retail management, providing a comprehensive understanding of the industry. Working with experienced professionals, I learned best practices, problem-solving skills, and gained a deep understanding of customer service and sales strategies.
The apprenticeship equipped me with leadership abilities, effective communication skills, and a solid understanding of retail operations. It enhanced my problem-solving capabilities and ability to make data-driven decisions. These skills have positioned me for growth and advancement in the industry.’
