People Development: Leadership Apprenticeships

We’re excited to share news about two Leadership Apprenticeships launching this year!
We’re pleased to announce that we’re launching our first Society-wide cohorts of the Team Leader Level 3 and Operations Manager Level 5 Apprenticeships, starting in November 2025!
Who are the Apprenticeships aimed at?
The Team Leader Level 3 apprenticeship is aimed at colleagues who are team leaders, supervisors or first-line managers, or those who have the desire to progress into a supervisory role. You don’t need to have direct reports to complete this apprenticeship, but you do need to have the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge and skills gained whilst on the apprenticeship.
The Operations Manager Level 5 apprenticeship is for Managers who directly manage teams, are responsible for operational activities, and have the responsibility for planning, delivering and achieving departmental goals and objectives.
How do I find out more?
To help support you with deciding whether an apprenticeship is right for you, we’re running two information sessions, with the Training Provider, where colleagues can learn more about the apprenticeship programmes, what’s involved, the level of commitment expected and the support they’ll received. We’ll also run through the application process and timeframes.
Communication around how to submit your application will be sent via email on 2nd September.
The vacancy window for applications is: 8th – 28th September 2025.
The selection and assessment process will be conducted in October 2025, with enrolments onto the apprenticeship taking place in November 2025.
