Today’s story is all about grants and financial support for colleagues. Take advantage of the upcoming School Essentials Grant or gain financial help from Co-op Credit Union, read on to learn more.
Schools Essentials Grant – opens 14th June at 6.00am
Did you know each year, our partners GroceryAid release a financial grant to support families with their school uniform costs?
Eligible parents could get up to £150 per school-age child, for up to three children per household. Save the date!
Important information:

The grant application page opens at 6:00am on Wednesday 14th June 2023

You need to have worked at Midcounties for at least 6 months
-
You need to be already receiving universal credit or child tax credit for school-age children aged 4-18 years old, as of 31st August 2023.
What paperwork do you need to submit your application?

You need a Current Payslip that clearly shows your name, employer and NI number

You need your Current Universal Credit statement showing the payment amount and full breakdown (child element) and your Name and address.

If you receive child tax credit, you can provide a PDF of your current bank statement showing your child tax credit entry.
The application form is quick to complete but the most common reason for rejection is that the correct information has not been uploaded. Ensure you send over everything so you do not miss out! To find out more click here.
