In this week's blog, Phil visits Shrewsbury Amateur Swim Club. A grant recipient of ours, they support the young people in Shrewsbury learning to swim.
Who are Shrewsbury Amateur Swim Club?
Founded in 1894, the Shrewsbury Swimming Club provides an important service to the health and wellbeing of young people in the area. With training at Shrewsbury School in Shrewsbury & The Quarry Swimming pool, they were recently impacted by a loss of funding and recovery from covid. But are now on the mend with professional coaches on hand to help young people get fitter, learn new skills and meet new friends.
