Supporting future career opportunities for Young Adult Carers - Forest of Dean RC ππ
Forest of Dean Regional Community today supported the YAC Futures Event at Skillzone in Gloucester for our charity partner Gloucestershire Young Carers. YAC (Young Adult Carers) Futures is a career event for those young carers who are considering future career options.
Tony Phelps (Store Manager, Lydney) and Alan Cratchley (Safe Stores Manager) held sessions for career discussions in Food, and Faye Harris from Cinderford Travel held discussions for careers in Travel.
The event was also sponsored by Midcounties and all the attendees left with a well-being hamper provided for and made by our Coleford store.
Forget Me Not - Bicester RC Charity Partner - Easter donations π£
Last week, Dean and Margaret, from Bassett Avenue store handed out Easter eggs to the RC charity partner Forget Me Not. Everyone was really happy to receive one with a big thank you to Dean, Margaret and the team involved. See the lovely pictures below.

Alicia from Assistant Travel Manager, Sedgley Travel saved a customer's holiday! She made about 18 calls β and spent hours on the phone β tracking down the missing passport so her client and her family made it to the flight just on time.

Our colleague Lisa Eccleston has been at New Invention Post Office for 7 years.
She is leaving Post Office today and transferring to Midcounties Chase Terrace Travel.
We wish Lisa all the best for her new adventure!
Β£25,000 raised in our Longlevens charity shop that goes directly to RDA- this is in the first 7 months we have had the shop and is enough to keep 2 horses for a year!
"I feel that both my manager Mark Chapman and myself deserve thumbs-ups for working a lot more than our scheduled hours and keeping the Besselsleigh store running considering the fact that we are short-staffed at the moment."

Easter fundraising in the Forest of Dean Regional Community - they raised in excess of 2,000 last week from the activities for our charity partner Gloucestershire Young Carers (GYC).
