Volunteering alert! The Core Marketing team help out at Mary Arden's Farm
Earlier this week the Core Marketing team had the chance to volunteer at Mary Arden's farm in Stratford upon Avon. Refurbishing their cattle yard and replacing old rails with new ones, they also helped out with hay organising and gardening.
Well done to the whole team who took part.๐๐๐
Litter-picking & Bingo with the Walsall Young Carers! ๐๐๐
Colleagues from the Community team held a special litter pick & Bingo with the Walsall Young Carers.
With a pile of rubbish collected, the Bingo was also a success and everyone got 2 prizes (as well as a bit of dinner), all remaining prizes will go in Christmas hampers in December.

Your Latest Thumbs Up ๐
On Sunday 16th October 2022, 16 of us will be running the Oxford Half Marathon where we will be fundraising for The Lucy Rayner Foundation.
The big runners in this group will be Paul Mcgregor who is the founder of our Everymind at work app that we all have access to as colleagues and Stuart Newman who is our Head of Healthcare.
This will be the first running event in my life and the first for the charity in Oxford so let's try and raise as much money to help those with Mental Health support.
We want to raise over ยฃ1300 if we can and if every colleague donates ยฃ1 then we will smash that.
If you would like to donate towards our run, click here to donate.
The Usdaw Midlands Regional Conference was held 1st and 2nd of October. Last weekend at the Radisson blu hotel in East Midlands.
Senior Rep Michelle Whitehead proudly chaired the meeting on behalf of Midcounties, over both days.
Well done Michelle!
Shout out to the wonderful team at Carrick Travel, in Cheylesmore who have today held a Macmillan Coffee Morning for their local community. Here we have Donna, Lidia & Paul - well done to you - a great way to engage with customers and of course all for a great cause.
Myself and two colleagues, Sam Cooper & Sue Langston, from Bidford on Avon Midcounties Co-op, volunteered today at the 1st Birthday Party for the Bidford Warm Hub. The Co-op in Bidford has been part of the Warm Hub since they started and donate Milk, chocolates and Biscuits every week.
The Colleagues in Warm Hub 4 are Sue Langston (2nd from left), Sam Cooper then Shevaun Greef far right together with Parish Councillor Bill Fleming and his daughter Bev Tonks.
This week members of the History Group, Board, MEC and YCN went to Rochdale to see the birthplace of co-operation and discuss how the learnings of the past are relevant today. A great day enjoyed by everyone!
Some more community action from our Oakengates stores raising money for Macmillan Coffee morning. Della and the team raised ยฃ656.30! Well Done to you all!
What is Thumbs Up?๐
โThumbs Upโ is our way of celebrating all your heroic efforts by sharing your great work and giving other colleagues the ability to like it.
It could be some great customer feedback you've received, something you've done to help the local community or simply a Thumbs Up to your team!
Just make sure you please take care of social distancing for pictures together as we are also following guidelines on this and hope you are too.
Thank you for the contribution, if for whatever reason you donโt want it to be used in this way please contact communications@midcounties.coop.
