How it works
All colleagues that are members may be entitled to receive Thank You vouchers to celebrate annual results announced at the AGM.
Colleagues (Level 7 and above) and a few other specific roles such as Store Managers will be eligible for a discretionary bonus scheme.
How to claim it
When the Thank You vouchers are given out, they are dispensed via the Your Co-op Member App*.
Those eligible for a discretionary monetary bonus will be subject to their own individual contract of employment, requirements and targets and are free to discuss anything further with line management in the first instance.

Colleague Thank You Vouchers July 2024
To celebrate the results Midcounties announced at the AGM, eligible colleagues will receive Colleague Thank you vouchers. These vouchers are designed to reward colleagues who are members, for the work that they have done for the Society during the financial year (29th of January 2023 – 27th of January 2024) to which the vouchers relate.
Higher payments are awarded to colleagues with two or more years’ service at the end of the scheme financial year i.e. to have commenced employment with the Society on or before the 22nd of January 2022.
The e-vouchers will be available on the app from the 31st of July 2024 with a 12-month expiry date.
To be eligible, colleagues must have been a member of Midcounties Co-operative and have completed the appropriate lengths of service with Midcounties in the relevant period and be employed at the point the Colleague Thank you vouchers are issued.

Eligibility criteria
All colleagues employed on or before the 22nd of January 2022 will be eligible for a dividend; those employed after the 27th January of 2024 will not receive a dividend payment this time. Payments are awarded dependent on your actual average hours, in three categories as set out in the table below. Colleagues with two or more years’ service, at the end of the scheme financial year, receive a higher payment.
Colleagues who are contracted on a zero-hour basis and have not worked any hours during the voucher period will not be eligible for payment.
All voucher payments will be based on colleagues’ average hours worked in the financial year. The table below shows what payment to expect:

Where can the vouchers be spent?
The vouchers can be used in the following ways, just present the voucher on the app:

Midcounties Co-operative Food stores

Your Co-op Travel branches, as part or full payment against a holiday, days out and experiences (such as Afternoon tea for Two, paintballing, Pet photoshoot or a Comedy night)

Your Co-op Travel branches to purchase foreign currency or cash passports (excludes purchase of sterling cash passports)

Your Co-op Childcare nurseries, Little Pioneers nurseries
Please Note - If you are a colleague out of trading area and you haven’t shopped in a food store in the last 12 months you will only see a code on Your Co-op members app. The code can be used in Your Co-op Travel branches, Your Co-op Childcare nurseries or Little Pioneers nurseries.
The vouchers can be used in the following ways:

To redeem your vouchers within Food Stores and Childcare, just present the voucher on the app

To redeem within Travel, your vouchers can be used via Your Co-op Travel branches or via the Travel hotline 0800 7811595. As well as holiday bookings, vouchers can be used for days out and experiences such as Afternoon Tea for two, Paintballing, Pet photoshoot or a Comedy night experience all through Travel.
Please note - All vouchers can only be redeemed once. Please also be aware that the vouchers do not disappear immediately from the app but will turn red and say redeemed within 24 hours. Any abuse or fraudulent misuse may result in disciplinary action being taken.

Please raise a ServiceNow ticket under the HR area and select Thank You Vouchers.
Terms & Conditions
- This voucher cannot be used on purchases with any other Co-operative Societies
- It can only be used by displaying it on the Your Co-op Members app or website. Printed copies will not be accepted.
- Each voucher must only be used once.
- This voucher must be used in a single transaction. If your purchase value is lower than the voucher value, then reasonable change of up to 10% may be given in line with store/branch policy.
- You can use more than one voucher in a single transaction.
- Vouchers excludes purchase of sterling cash passports
- The voucher can be used up to 31st of July 2025. After this date, the voucher code will be removed from Your Co-op Members app.
- Vouchers cannot be paid into your member share account
- Also excluded are electronic bill payments, gift vouchers and saving stamps.
