This year, we’ve helped support so many wonderful charity partners with grants, donations and fundraising throughout the year. Today we can announce we’ve raised over £42,000 in support of our 23 Regional Community Charities and 31 Keep it Local Partners.
This is all down to you, our dedicated colleagues, who passionately support charity partners in times of need. 👏
Have a look and read some of the fantastic thank you messages we have received since the latest payout during the Half-year end. All colleagues should feel incredibly proud to support some of these life-changing organisations. 😊
From the MASE Group, Cannock Regional Community
What can I say to you other than ‘Thank You’.
These are such difficult times for us all and I can assure you this money will ALL go to support our Carers and their loved ones with Alzheimer’s.
You are all such loyal supporters of our Charity and believe me, it is greatly appreciated.
Daphne Sharp - Trustee/ MASE Co-ordinator
Thrive North Ox Charity - West Oxon Regional Community
On behalf of the team, we are hugely grateful.
This donation will go towards school uniforms including shoe vouchers to the value of £35 per child/teenager. Logo’d uniform is such a great financial cost to families. Your donation will help a few families to cope with this demand and give their children new clothing of their own to help build self-esteem and ensure they feel on a level footing with their peers.
Thrive has and is greatly indebted to the Midcounties for always being there for us over the years - keen to help and brainstorm ideas to raise more money and support the community. Adam Quinton and Dave Hughes and their team have always been enthusiastic and committed to helping the growing need in the local area as well as yourselves with the virtual charity coffee mornings which have been very supportive.
A huge thanks from all the team:
Andrea, Nicky, Marianne, Jo, Nicola, Ceri and Helen.
The White House Cancer Support - Sedgley & Dudley Regional Community
The money will help the charity pay for the reimbursement of volunteer counsellors travel expenses plus it will allow us to continue to expand our services by providing not only face to face support but alternatively, it will enable us to expand other support systems such as delivering counselling by phone or through digital means.
Seriously we cannot express enough our appreciation for all the support and funds received from Midcounties. The partnership has helped us enormously to help ensure we can both continue and expand our services but most of all and as mentioned above, it demonstrates to those affected by a cancer diagnosis that they are not alone in fighting the disease as people from all walks of life who are in fact complete strangers in most cases, do-support their fight and do care what happens to them.

North Cotswold Community Awareness - Cotswolds Regional Community
Thank you SO much for this wonderful news. And all the better because it was so unexpected. I’m not sure how you and your colleagues managed to raise such a sum but I am jolly glad that you did!

Wolverhampton Alz Café - Wolverhampton Regional Community
Yet again what a wonderful email to receive, informing us that we have yet another wonderful donation! On behalf of everyone at Wolverhampton Alz Café a massive thank you to all at the Midcounties Co-op colleagues who have done so much to raise the fantastic amount of £712.80. It is a wonderful testament to everyone who has given their time and commitment to raising so much in such difficult times. It makes such a huge difference to how we operate and what we can provide for the lovely people who attend our activities.

Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Dementia Action Alliance - Shropshire Regional Community
Thank you Midcounties Co-op!
Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Dementia Action Alliance would like to say a big ‘Thank you’ to the wonderful staff at Midcounties for their hard work raising money for us in these difficult times!! We are a voluntary organisation that works with the growing number of Dementia Friendly Community groups in the area and with businesses and other organisations that have committed to becoming more ‘dementia-friendly'. All our work is aimed at giving a voice to people affected by dementia and improving things for them. The £1,973.97 raised will help us to continue with this.
We consider ourselves to be very lucky in our partnership with the Midcounties– not only for the funding but we have also been able to share in ‘upskilling’ sessions online and network with a wide range of other organisations through these.

Guy's Gift - Leamington & Warwick Regional Community
“We would like to thank Midcounties for their ongoing help, which enables us to provide comprehensive, specialised support to bereaved children and young people in Coventry and Warwickshire. Prior to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, we travelled to meet the children and young people who needed our help in schools and local community venues.
Throughout the pandemic, we have been able to provide our services via phone and video calls. We are beginning to return to providing in-person support as schools have been returned last month. Indeed, our services have never been more in demand and, with the pandemic also affecting our ability to access funding from other sources, the backing of Midcounties has been of vital importance to the work that we do. Thank you for the much needed and very valued support!”

Forget Me Not (Bicester) - Bicester Regional Community
Midcounties are so dedicated to fundraising for Forget Me Not (Bicester) – they really help us so much, and the funding makes such a difference to what we can offer at our Friendship and Lunch Club for older people and people living with dementia.
With the money recently raised, we will be able to buy a selection of reminiscence activity material, as well as equipment for manicures and hand massage.
This will help clients to relax and feel pampered and will encourage happy memories.
We really feel blessed that Midcounties have us as a community partner.
Thank you to all staff and customers involved”.

BYHP Supporting Young People in Housing Need, Banbury Regional Community Charity Partner
The donation to BYHP for the Mental Wealth Academy from Midcounties has massively helped us to continue to deliver mental health support to those young people aged 16-25 years old, who are most at risk of falling through gaps in the mental health system. During recent difficult times, providing this support has been more important than ever to our young people and this funding will allow us to continue to support young people with improving their wellbeing, increasing confidence and self-esteem and building a better future.
We are so grateful for the continued support offered as part of our partnership with the Midcounties. This funding will contribute to the service continuation and below are some comments which have been made by our service users following sessions;
- “For the first time, I have actually felt listened to”.
- “You’ve helped me to change my life beyond what I ever imagined”.
- “It’s nice to have the support”.
- “I leave here feeling like there is some hope”.
