On Monday, our new purpose-built nursery in Lanesfield, Wolverhampton opened its doors to local children. Take a look around the new nursery and find out more about the big investments we’re making in our Childcare division.
A first look at Lanesfield...
Bright and airy and with space for up to 85 children, Lanesfield nursery opened this week following a ribbon-cutting ceremony on 31st August attended by the local Mayor as well as Exec and Board members.
The nursery has three rooms with a tailored environment for each age group to support their learning and development, while ensuring they have fun at the same time.
It also has a large garden for outdoor play, a designated parents’ room to catch up with their child’s allocated key worker and on-site parking.
Sally Bonnar, Chief Operating Officer for the Childcare Group, said: “Not only does it look great, but it will also provide an amazing environment to give children the opportunity to grow and develop with the support of our excellent nursery team. We look forward to welcoming all of our little pioneers as they begin or continue their education and development journey.”
Investing in Maida Vale and Reading nurseries
Maida Vale Nursery
Reading Nursery
As part of our five-year growth plan for Childcare and continued roll-out of the Little Pioneers brand, two other nurseries have also just benefited from significant refits.
Both Maida Vale and Reading nurseries have just enjoyed facelifts totalling £771k. The work to refurbish, re-brand and carry out essential maintenance has enabled increased occupancy and improved the look and feel of the sites for the benefit of the children and our colleagues.
Both nurseries are hosting parents’ evenings in the coming weeks to share information about the transformation with current parents to help them understand how it would benefit their little ones.
Looking ahead, our Oxford Station nursery will be temporarily relocating in September so that we can build a new bright and fresh nursery on the existing site.
