Young People are the future of our Society and today as part of Co-op Fortnight, we tell you all about the dedicated Young Co-operators Network which allows Young Members aged 16-30 to network and have a say.
Aged 16-30? Here are a few reasons why you should join:
Young Members Voices
As the future of Midcounties, we want the voice of our young co-operators to be heard and recognized so that they influence and inform the decisions we make and continue to inspire them to be engaged. The platform of the Young Co-operators Network allows young members to share opinions, take part in discussions and make recommendations to the strategies of the society that affect young people.
The Young Co-operator Election campaign
As part of our commitment, we’re running the first-ever Young Co-operator Election campaign for three seats on the MEC.
Having young people on the MEC can bring lots of benefits, a few of these are:

they bring fresh ideas and insights to the committee

provide young co-operators an equal voice and ensure that young people feel represented and their ideas and voices can influence what the society does in future.

It’s a real chance to influence a multi-million-pound business!
Being part of a co-operative allows young people the chance to shape their future and even influence campaigns their co-op supports!
