Hi everyone, my name is Callum Dunne and I’m the Digital Content Co-ordinator for the Corporate Communications Team.
Before I get started, I know what you’re thinking… ‘What is a Digital Content Co-ordinator anyway? 🤷♂️’
In my role my main responsibilities are to maintain and improve Colleagues Connect and the Midcounties website. As part of my day to day I also manage the Midcounties social media channels and work with our studio team to create fantastic artwork, animations and videos.
Away from work, I’m an avid Manchester United fan (don’t judge me too harshly), a fitness fanatic and a hip hop head – that’s right, in 20 years I’ll be the guy in his 40s that you pull up next to at the traffic lights rapping along to Biggie Smalls 😅
I’m here today to talk to you about Colleagues Connect, what it’s here for and how you can help make it even better in the future!
In 2018, our team launched Colleagues Connect with the aim of providing all colleagues with the information and tools you need to do your job. We’ve made it easy to find what you need any where, any time, on any device.
On top of the key information you need, my colleague Pranil writes and manages the regular stories we send out on here, making sure you’re kept up to date on what’s going on across the Society – as well as a few competitions with some amazing prizes 🎁
Since launching Colleagues Connect, the website has evolved and gone from strength-to-strength. Here’s some of the key stats in 2020…
As you can see, we’ve had some amazing engagement on here in 2020. We now have on average over 3,500 colleagues signing into the website each month. Many of those are giving us feedback by reading articles, adding comments and making this a real two-way channel. However, we’d love for more colleagues to join in and be part of the conversation.
With 8,200 colleagues currently working for the Society, we want to get as many of you as possible checking Colleagues Connect regularly. This is to make sure you’re kept up to date with information that matters to you through our stories, any policy updates that relate to you and much more.
If you’d like to find out more about Colleagues Connect, what it can do for you or if you have any queries, you can check out our help page by clicking here.
With that in mind, we need your help to make Colleagues Connect the best it can be! There are two ways you can help make a real difference:
-
Encourage your fellow colleagues to use Colleagues Connect
-
Leave us some feedback in the comments section below and let us know what subjects you’d like to read more about, how we can improve our communications or any other feedback on our stories
Before I go, I’m going to leave you with some of the most popular stories from 2020 in case you missed them…
