As part of our journey as a new Society, we are introducing MediaCoop – a new way of working with suppliers that connects what we sell with what our Members and customers really need. Built around our co-operative difference, MediaCoop helps us work beyond the shelf, supporting communities, seasonal moments and everyday life across our family of businesses.
What is MediaCoop?
MediaCoop is a new way OurCoop is working with suppliers and trade partners to better connect what we sell with what our Members and customers actually need, care about and value.
It brings together the strength of our FoodCoop estate with the insight, scale and reach of our wider family of businesses. The mission for MediaCoop is to go beyond shelf space, offering suppliers opportunities to connect with their target audiences at the right moments and locations across our family of businesses – from sponsoring bike repair stations, supporting early years centres, to hosting events in car parks, activating store environments and using our app in more joined-up ways.
Rather than being about screens or advertising alone, MediaCoop is about connecting product awareness with real category demand.
Using an insight and data led approach, it helps align suppliers' commercial goals, with clear missions and the right placements, linked to seasonal moments and cultural events, such as the summer of sport, family life or wellbeing, with relevant products and services, in ways that feel useful, trusted and genuinely helpful to customers.

Why it’s right for OurCoop
At its heart, MediaCoop reflects what makes OurCoop different. As a co-operative, we already work beyond the shelf, supporting communities through things like bike repair, defibrillators, customer facilities and early years provision. MediaCoop builds on this by helping partners work with us in a more joined-up way, guided by insight and data, but shaped by how people actually live, shop and connect.
This is about creating smarter, more targeted opportunities that benefit everyone. Customers find what they need more easily, partners connect more meaningfully with the right audiences and OurCoop strengthens its ability to reinvest value back into Members, colleagues and communities. MediaCoop is one of the ways we are turning our scale, trust and insight into long-term shared benefit, growing the right way, together.
