Member Investments with OurCoop

As we continue to bring together our former Societies to create OurCoop, one opportunity for all members is the opportunity to make a Fixed Term Equity Investment in our Society. This possibility is available for all members regardless of which Society they joined us through and regardless of which trading group they shop with us in.

Similar to funds invested in share accounts, these products represent a financial investment in the Equity of our Society. The key difference with a Fixed Term Equity Investment is that funds are invested at a fixed amount for a fixed return. Our rates do occasionally alter depending on wider interest rate changes but as of today by investing in Equity for a fixed term of one, two, or three years, we'll pay a fixed interest rate of up to 5.75% at the end of the term.

To apply to open a Fixed Term Equity Investment, you must be a member of OurCoop and invest a minimum of £500.

Whilst our teams are hard at work creating the online journey for our members, we would like firstly to give all colleagues the opportunity to register their interest in taking out a Fixed Term Equity investment. This will enable us to gauge interest amongst colleagues and seek feedback on how we make the journey for non-colleague members as effortless as possible.
