To showcase how we are working towards our Purpose each day, we are introducing Member TRUST Measures in place of the Society Steering Wheel. Read on to find out more…
With the TRUST Pillars and our Purpose now firmly embedded into how we work, we felt it was time to show the world how we are working towards our Purpose every day.
To do this, we will be transitioning from using Steering Wheel Measures to track our progress to Member TRUST Measures.
The change means we will be able to see how aligned our everyday actions are to our Purpose and TRUST Pillars.
It also means our success in each of these areas will be communicated externally to members, so that our co-operative difference shines through.
What are the Member TRUST Measures?
The Member TRUST Measures will be segmented under the five TRUST pillars of Thriving Co-operative, Remarkable Colleagues, Uniquely Engaged Members, Sustainable Impact and Thought-leading Pioneers, rather than the Steering Wheel’s Finance, People, Customers, Members and Delivery.
This image shows you the measures we’ll now be tracking under each of these pillars.

You’ll notice that many of the measures remain the same. However, there are five new measures to be aware of:
-
Internal development: Number of colleagues who have moved to a different role within the Society
-
Community Grants: % and number of ‘Doing Good Together’ grants distributed
-
Innovations: Total number of innovations implemented into our Society that are recognised externally
-
Influencing policy change: Number of submissions made as part of legal or regulatory consultations
-
Awards: Number of awards that the Society has been shortlisted for or won
What about the measures that are no longer included?
It’s important to note that the Steering Wheel measures that no longer feature in the Member TRUST Measures, such as the number of accidents and CSAT scores, are still important measures for our groups to track as part of their day-to-day operational activity.
That means they will still form part of our ongoing operational dashboard reporting.
Group specific targets and further information has been communicated via your Operational Managers, and if you have any further questions please reach out to your line manager in the first instance.
Our first Member TRUST Measures period report will be circulated later this month via Operational Managers.
