As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re highlighting actions that support wellbeing. Taking simple, meaningful steps to support mental health every day can make a real difference. Plus, join the Everymind webinar on digestive health.
As a Society, we’ve made real progress in recognising, understanding and reducing the stigma around mental health. While we encourage open conversations all year round, Mental Health Awareness Week is a valuable moment to pause and refocus.
This year’s theme is Action – a reminder to go beyond awareness and take simple, meaningful steps to support mental health every day.
This week, take Action…
- For yourself: through small actions to boost your wellbeing
- For others: by checking in with colleagues, friends and family
- For OurCoop: by having open, supportive workplaces which place wellbeing at the heart

Join the Everymind webinar - World Digestive Health Day (29th May)
Recognised each year, this day raises awareness of conditions like IBS, Crohn’s, acid reflux coeliac disease and colorectal cancer, while encouraging earlier support and more open conversations.
Conversations about digestive health can often feel taboo – this day is about changing that. Reducing the stigma helps people feel more comfortable seeking medical advice sooner.

Did you know – around 90% of our body’s serotonin (the feel-good hormone) is produced in the gut, not the brain? It’s a powerful reminder of how closely our mental and physical health are connected.
If that’s given you food for thought, join Everymind webinar to learn more about the gut-brain connection:
