It’s been a busy week out and about. This week, I had the chance to attend the 30th Anniversary of the Association of Convenience Stores (ACS). Then it was off to the South Coast to visit Emma Bowman and the fantastic team at Littlehampton Nursery.

Hi, I would like to nominate Sat Bhurji. Sat always has a smile on his face and is always happy to help, if there is ever a problem then we all know at Head Office that Sat will come to the rescue and get it sorted and does it with a smile. For many years he has gone above and beyond and I'm always very grateful.

Lots of colleagues deserve the Easter Hamper, but in the food retail team I would like to nominate @Dean Puplett for not only running 2 half marathons in a short time after each other for Young Lives Vs Cancer charity. The charity is really close to his heart and many others, and I feel as a family they are deserving of the hamper as they have helped so many families from the sponsorship money they have rasied over the years. #keepuptherunning

Hi Phil I would like to nominate Joyce Price from cleobury mortimer for the hamper, Joyce works really hard and goes above and beyond in store , nothing is too much for her , any problems you have you can go to Joyce and she will solve it for you ,

I'd like to nominate Jessica Harvey. Jess has been a huge support to myself personally, our L&D team and has been a great support to a number of other teams across support services recently. She's there for everyone whenever they need some advice or just someone to listen when they need it, and she does it all with a smile on her face and in a humble way. Jess really is a great asset to our team and we'd be utterly lost without her!

Hi Phil, its very hard to nominate just one person when you work within such a great team that each have a part to play in pulling together everything we do within ESG, but if I do have to pick one person that would be Stephanie Kew, she works so hard within The Studio pulling together all the branding/editing and so on (the full list is way too long😂) for the Society, but she will alway answer the phone no matter how busy she is to give advise and help get something over the line.

Lots of worthy colleagues and such a great idea 🐰an .. Easter Hamper give away. I would like to nominate our Younity team, they are our best kept secret, Laura and Jessica have recently joined ,along with Connie and Ewan ( Michaela you too) they all work exceptional hard and do it in such a humbled way ,We fully appreciate what they do , hence a hamper would show our appreciation . Thanks

Hi Phil I would like to nominate my colleague Anthony Edwards he really stepped up while I was on maternity leave taking over my colleague council rep position and welcomed me back and supported me when I returned. He is always willing to help out taking on extra shifts, coming in early or leaving late if we need him to. I don't think I have ever seen anyone who can get delivery done so fast and he is always smiling and has such a positive attitude that he is always fun to work with.

Hi Phil, I would love to be able to nominate my whole team as they are currently all working so hard under tough conditions, but if just looking for an individual nomination, then I would like to nominate one of my room managers, Kayley O'Neill. She really stepped up in supporting me when my DM was absent i. She will always go that bit extra for the nursery and ensure the children are receiving the best outcomes at all times. Hi - I've recently joined the Society in the Property Team and have been made to feel very welcome by all the department and the wider teams that I have had interaction with. One person particularly has gone above and beyond supporting me, checking in on me and answering numerous questions all while having to deliver a high profile piece of work for the Society. I'd like to nominate Bridget Gaynor, Asset Manager.

I would like to nominate Leila Patterson who is a room manger at Rathvilly. Leila goes above and beyond, she manages a room of 27 children from 18months - 30months and a large team. She has grown so much since taking on this role. She provides high quality care all the time and is very supportive to the management team.

Hi Phil i would love to hear your thoughts on the mental and physical health of childcare workers who are struggling to cooe with the increased presssures of staff shortages while also being threatened with dismissal and dismissed due to the disgusting sickness policy the company enforces. Would you be willing to send someone from head office to come and help cover lunches after one of our fantastic hard working lunch cover staff was sadly let go by the company.
