Have you considered stepping up as a member? By running for a position, you'll join a dedicated team committed to fostering a more ethical and sustainable future.

We have 5 openings on the Board and 2 on the MEC, and we’d be thrilled to have you join us.
Are you aged 16-30? We especially want to hear from our young Co-operators! One of the two MEC spots is reserved specifically for members aged 30 or under.
Application Process

Write 250 words about why members should elect you as a director (candidate’s address) and respond to this question in 75 words: Please give examples of your experience that you feel will benefit our Society if you’re elected as a Board member.

Record a 1-minute candidate’s address video (this can be filmed at home and submitted with the application)

Must be available for one of the candidates’ forums (27/06 or 11/07)

For the Member Engagement Committee (MEC) you need to submit a 150-word candidate address statement but do not have to attend the candidates’ forum.
Director Role Description (full detail in ‘being a director’ doc):

Be co-operative

Be informed about the business
-
Ensure they understand the context within which the Society operates and can represent Midcounties’ interest accordingly

Manage risk
-
Undertake the work of the board
-
Operate as an effective member of the board
