Have an idea that could make a difference?
Today we are launching OurCoop: Your Idea – a way for every colleague to share ideas that could make our Society stronger.
You might have an idea for reducing waste, saving money, improving a process, making colleagues’ jobs easier or serving our Members and customers better. Whatever your role, we would like to hear it.

How to take part
You can submit an idea on your own or as a team of up to five colleagues. Use the online form or ask your manager to help you complete it.
Every idea submitted will be reviewed. Ideas will then be shortlisted, with selected colleagues invited to pitch theirs. The winning ideas will be supported through to delivery. The programme will run every six months, so there will be opportunities to take part throughout the year.
Prizes

First place: £500 credit or voucher

Monthly participation prize: One submission will be selected at random each month to receive a £20 credit or voucher
Rewards can be spent across our family of businesses. The winning colleague or team will also be invited to join our CEO, Debbie Robinson, for a podcast episode to talk about their idea and their experience.
Terms and Conditions
Eligibility
- The Scheme is open to all current, active employees and colleagues of the Company.
- Contractors, external consultants, and former employees are not eligible to participate or receive rewards.
2. Submission Criteria
- Submissions must propose clear, actionable business improvement ideas, cost-saving measures, or operational efficiencies.
- Ideas must be submitted through the officially designated channel of the online Microsoft form available by QR code posters at branches, which are to be made available by managers or by clicking the submit button on the relevant colleagues connect page or email communications.
- Ideas that are already part of existing company projects, standard job duties, or previously submitted by another colleague will not qualify for the £150 or £500 reward at the end of each 6 monthly cycle of this programme.
3. Review and Selection
- All eligible submissions will be reviewed by the designated Scheme Panel or Management Team.
- The selection of ideas for implementation and reward is at the sole and absolute discretion of the Company.
- Management's decision regarding the eligibility, viability, and reward tier of any submission is final and binding.
4. Rewards and Credits
- Successful submissions may be awarded a credit or digital voucher (the "Reward") to be used exclusively within our family of businesses.
- No cash alternative, cash refund, or bank transfer will be provided under any circumstances.
- The Reward is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be resold.
- Use of the Reward within our retail stores or online platform is subject to standard customer terms and conditions, including expiry dates where applicable.
5. Intellectual Property
- By submitting an idea, the Participant assigns all intellectual property rights, title, and interest in the concept, design, or process to the Company free of charge.
- The Company reserves the right to adapt, modify, implement, or discard any submitted idea without further compensation or notice to the Participant.
6. General
- The Company reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the Scheme or these Terms at any time without prior notice.
- Participation in the Scheme does not form part of an employee's contractual terms of employment, and rewards are entirely discretionary.
