Hi, I’m Hannah from the Wild Earth Movement – I recently visited the Riding for the Disabled charity shop in Longlevens Co-op, Gloucester. Come and take a look with me as I look for this month’s charity shop find!
Vintage candle finds!
"I decided to go for these beautiful vintage candles. They were one of those things that I knew I had to have when I saw them. I’m moving to a new house at the moment so they’re the perfect little treat that will make our new house homely without spending a fortune. I’ve added my own shells and broken tile pieces I was saving for a mosaic project.
I’ll definitely be switching them up and getting creative and adding different things every now and again. That’s the beauty of them, you can keep changing them and getting creative, so they always feel new. I’ve never had water candles before, I can’t wait to show them off! They cost £3 and were brand new in the box, although definitely date back to the pre-millennium. You add water to the vases and a layer of oil to burn then place a floating wick on the top. You can experiment by adding items to the water as I have, you could also add food colouring or plants! "
