As you know, Midcounties is not like working for any other business, we’re a values-led organisation that prides itself on supporting our local communities in every way we can.
So as a community-minded organisation, we want to support colleagues who are making a real difference in their community.
If you’re part of an organisation or community group then we might be able to support you with up to £2,000 of funding through our community grant!

Check Out Some Projects We Funded in 2020
Every year we hand out funding to a wide range of applicants to ensure that they can continue to make a positive impact in their local communities. Here are just some of the recipients of our Community Fund in 2020:

The Friendship Cafe, Cheltenham & Gloucester:
- Funding was donated for new air conditioning units. As this is an inclusive community cafe that tackles loneliness and brings local people together for fun activities

Chamwell Centre Charity, Cheltenham & Gloucester:
- Funding donated was used for running costs to help the charity group to continue to help disabled young people get back into the workplace

Wem Bowling Club, Shropshire:
- This funding will be used to replace unstable floodlights on the green and help the club continue to provide engaging activities for the local community

The Katherine Allport Foundation, Cannock Chase:
- This funding has been donated to provide chemo care hampers to those starting cancer treatment in Staffordshire

Pelsall Community Centre, Walsall:
- This community centre is used for local groups and events, with the funding going towards new LED stage lighting

The Open Door Centre, Swindon:
- Funding donated has been used for running costs, so that the centre can continue to support vulnerable adults with intellectual disabilities
To celebrate our Values in Action and to highlight to our Members the way our community donations are distributed and how they make a difference locally, please note that all successful applicants may be asked, as part of their acceptance of their grant to provide updates or to attend one of our events to discuss the impact the fund has made.
