Welcome to March’s LEAP news. We’re excited to share with you what’s been happening in the world of LEAP this month! Claire McCarthy, Leadership and Career Solutions Lead, tells us a little more about our Graduates and how you can take your own LEAP!
A huge well done to our colleagues who have completed their apprenticeships over the past month:
Marta Kiedrowska, Pricing and Promotions Administrator in our Food Central Support team, achieved a Distinction in her Retail Team Leader Level 3 Apprenticeship

"I chose to complete the Retail Team Leader Level 3 Apprenticeship because, at the time, I had been in my role for many years and thought it would be a great opportunity to learn something new and progress in my career. There have been many benefits to completing the apprenticeship. For me personally, I would say it has given me more confidence in myself and I’ve gained a lot of new skills along the way.
My whole experience of the apprenticeship was very positive. After doing the same job for so long, it felt good to gain even more knowledge and understanding of all the different parts of retail. The programme was great, the workshops were well-prepared and engaging and there was a lot of support available throughout.
Due to the apprenticeship programme, I have actually changed my job role, from Team Leader to work at our Support Office in Warwick as a Pricing and Promotions Administrator. This is something I wouldn’t have done if I hadn’t completed my apprenticeship. It was due to the apprenticeship that I started to look more into my career and the options available to me."
