The Wolverhampton City Fairtrade Partnership AGM took place last month and was supported by a number of colleagues including Matt Dodd, Core Availability Manager, Gregg Seymour (District Manager of District 9), Jake Granger (representative from Food Store Albrighton), and Alex Middleton (representative from Food Store Vine Island). With Matt now the Wolverhampton City Fairtrade Partnership Ambassador on behalf of Midcounties, having taken over from Julia Farrell, Midcounties MEC member, it was a great opportunity for the team to get involved and see the difference Midcounties makes.
The Chair expressed gratitude to all supporters and sponsors, especially the Midcounties for their ongoing support and provision of refreshments and setup for the AGM event. Did you know Wolverhampton holds the distinction of being the first city awarded the Fairtrade City recognition by the Fairtrade Foundation? A celebration that will mark 21 years in 2025! #ChooseFairtrade

CIT Colleagues volunteer to clean up Holy Trinity Church grounds πππ
On behalf of everyone at Holy Trinity, our heartfelt thanks for your 'clear up' of our churchyard today! Your hard work, in un co-operative weather is very much appreciated; please pass on our thanks to all who took part in today's mammoth task. I'm sure there will be lots of comments on Sunday morning.
The best time of the year to view our churchyard is in the Spring. We have thousands of snowdrops which were planted 50+ years ago and have spread. They are followed by hundreds of daffodils in a variety of species, and patches of mauve crocuses. It really is worth a walk through to see such colour. Then we have bluebells; then we have mess with a few wild flowers here and there! That's when we need help and you came to our rescue.
A sincere thank you to you all,
Gwenda Butt on behalf of Holy Trinity.
Dalmation Day for Gloucestershire Deaf Association ππ
Last month the Forest of Dean Regional Community ran a special Dalmation Day for the Gloucester Deaf Association (GDA). A new fundraising partner for the Regional Community (RC), the RC ran this event to get their partnership off to a bang! Dalmations are the mascot for GDA as they are often born deaf, so our colleagues wanted to celebrate the new partnership in honour of GDAβs mascot. Well done and check out the fantastic pictures below from our Food and Travel colleagues! πππ

It's Ok To Talk - 10K for #Andysmanclub
On Sunday 16th July, Food colleague Louise Edgar-Kerrigan (second from right) took part in the first ever 10K for #Andysmanclub. A great charity for Men's Mental Health, Louise ran for her friend Charlotte who sadly lost her husband to suicide just over 12 months ago.
Fundraising for an incredible cause, well done and thank you for sharing your story Louise. π To see more on the day, watch Charlotte's entry from 1:47 here.
What is Thumbs Up?π
βThumbs Upβ is our way of celebrating all your heroic efforts by sharing your great work and giving other colleagues the ability to like it.
It could be some great customer feedback you've received, something you've done to help the local community or simply a Thumbs Up to your team!
Thank you for the contribution, if for whatever reason you donβt want it to be used in this way please contact communications@midcounties.coop.
