Intergenerational care at Carterton Nursery!
For the Big Bird Watch, the children at Carterton Nursery took part in activities such as bird watching, drawing their own birds and making birds feeders for the residents at a local care home to put out in their garden and watch the birds eat.
“We sent our friends at Homestead care home some homemade bird feeders and bird drawings so that they could take part in the RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch this weekend. Today the residents looked through our drawings and hung our bird feeders in their garden. We hope the bird feeders entice lots of birds into their garden and they enjoy watching all the different types of birds come and go. They even gave their pet budgie one to enjoy!” Nadine Board, Nursery Manager
