Taking on the London to Brighton 100km 24hr challenge for Regional Community partner Guy's Gift πππ
Colleague Steve Graham, Tax Manager, is raising funds for the Leamington & Warwick Regional Community partner, Guy's Gift. Read more on why he's doing it below and help donate to the cause. Well done and keep it up! πππ
Who am I doing it for?
Guy's Gift is a charity based in Warwick that supports thousands of children and young people across Coventry and Warwickshire. Each year they work with 300+ children and young people providing tailored bereavement support meaning that everyone will get the support in a way that works for them. I am hoping that the challenge will raise funds that ultimately will help and support the work that the charity does each year.
Guy's Gift is also the dedicated Leamington and Warwick Regional Community Partner that we have been supporting for the last few years.
What does the challenge consist of?
It's just walking, said no-one ever...with only 8 weeks before the off, I have decided to do the London-Brighton 100km 24hr walk. Starting at 07:00am Saturday 28th May at Richmond-Upon-Thames, the route takes me out over the North Downs to the 50km checkpoint at Turners Hill. Then it gets a bit tricky with the South Downs through the night hours and into a sunrise, hopefully arriving Sunday 29th AM onto the Brighton racecourse. I did attempt this in 2019 but with the wrong footwear vs a huge rock just after 2am, meant I had to withdraw due to injury, so with pins in my foot, I have a score to settle!
I have done charity treks and races before and my motivation has always been a combination of the personal challenge and the thought of what the monies raised means for the charity and its continuing work.
Whoβs taking part?
Just meβ¦.well, apart from the 100βs other people doing the same for their chosen charities!
Support me, donate and add words of encouragement here.
Good luck Steve! πππ

The Team in Chipping Norton gave some goodwill wishes to Chippy Trainer Charlie Longsdon and his Grand National hope, Snow Leopardess. We delivered some carrots and a good luck card, and even met Snow Leopardess's brother "Paramount". Charlie and his Wife were grateful for the gesture, and we have now gained them as a follower on our Chippy Facebook page!
Nice gesture, well done!πππ

The photo shows The Triangle, Reading store manager Immie Malin and her proud team who are very pleased with their new improved store. The Store Development Team completed a low-cost project to remove condemned refrigeration, reconfigure the shop floor and reduce the overall size of the shop floor. This was to improve the shopping experience for the customer and to improve store operation efficiency.
Great job and a big well done to the Store Development team πππ
