To celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight at Woodstock we donated Fairtrade products to Cllr Dr Elizebeth who had a Fairtrade Coffee Morning and aStall inside the Town Hall promoting products. The money raised from today's event would have been split 50/50 between the Woodstock Church and helping Fairtrade organisations, due to the current situation in Ukraine all monies raised today will be donated to help people in Ukraine. The raffle which was donated by Woodstock Co-op raised ยฃ186.
A super event and networking by Sagavat and his team in Woodstock, well-done guys! ๐๐๐

Here's David, Store Manager at Copthorne presenting Fairtrade Fortnight at Christchurch Coe Creasage Primary school
Last week I did my Fairtrade event which went really well. I did an assembly about Fairtrade and brought along some of our Fairtrade products for the children to look at. I also made up an activity pack for the children to complete at home with their parents such as a word search, colouring sheet. As a thank you, I gave the children a fairtrade banana to be healthy and a fairtrade chocolate lolly. The children loved this event and I will be working more with the school. I also gave the teachers some tea, coffee and chocolate to try in their staff room!
Rebecca Yull, Team Leader, Chorleywood
Well done Rebecca!
Judy Cheyne, our instore chef from Bourton, came up to Knighton on Monday 7th to do cookery demonstrations with the Knighton Community Group.

Walsall Town Centre put on a charity night event to raise money for a defibrillator to be fitted outside their store. The event was held on Saturday 5th March at Bentley Leisure Pavilion, which plays home of Darlaston Town F.C. They were kind enough to give us the room for free in support towards our end goal. The night also included a live singer in Nina Moore, who again donated her time for free in support of this charity. There was a huge raffle and a buffet which again topped the night off superbly. With Ticket sales and raffle money, the Walsall Food store raised a huge ยฃ1200 on the night, bringing their grand total to a whopping ยฃ2137. The event was supported by all the colleagues from the store with a few local managers and me and it was a fantastic evening from start to finish.
I would just like to pass on my extended thanks to all involved but a special mention to Shannan Hale, Store Manager of our Sutton Road store who has a real passion for these kind of things and really made this the success it was.
Daniel Farmerโ, District Manager
I would like to thank the team at Co-op Woodley for looking after our neighbour when she had an incident in the store and what we thought at the time, a heart attack. The team has been extremely helpful and caring. They shut the store for an hour as our neighbour was lying on the floor. They called an ambulance and sorted out the child care for 2 kids left at home. Our neighbour stopped breathing at one point and they kept us calm and did not panic. They are true heroes and life savers. A couple of days after the incident the staff came to our home and gave flowers and a card. That wasnโt expected but was very kind of them. Thank you so much everyone.
In return, Karen, Reece & Noreen each received some fantastic feedback and a thank you ! Well done! ๐๐๐
Kanta from Pendeford Post Office received a box of chocolates from a customer. The customer enjoys coming in and being serviced by Kanta because she is so friendly and always smiling. The customer wanted to brighten up Kantaโs day because Kanta always brightens up hers. Well done Kanta!
A thank you card for Lily at Pendeford for her excellent customer service.
A Fairtrade event was held with Churchstoke Primary School last week. It was very well received by the Children and School. Well done to everyone involved! ๐๐๐
