Opportunities for Development
How it works:
We have introduced many development opportunities within the Society at all levels in all trading groups.
Instantly available learning resources can be found in the Colleague Learning Zone and the Manager Zone by clicking here.
We have many more in-depth opportunities available to develop yourself and your career path, such as the recently introduced career framework which is a clear guideline of all skills and experience required to work at each level of the Society, with this you can identify areas you need to improve and therefore plan your growth towards a future role within the Society.
There are also bespoke LEAP programmes which are available to all ages and levels, LEAP stands for Learn, Earn, Achieve, Progression, which is exactly what we intend to do with the colleagues who undertake the programmes!
How to claim it:

You can also read more about opening up these opportunities to yourself by clicking here.
Checking in with your manager is an excellent way to get started on pursuing your development, you may be asked to complete a Personal Development Plan to get started, and assess your targets for development from there.
Your manager will be best placed to guide you on your career goals, even if your goals are not necessarily aligned to the job you are currently doing, you can have very effective and useful check-in discussions which will benefit your growth.
If your manager feels like you are right for a LEAP programme or professional development programme within the Society, they can reach out to your trading group’s L&D representative and find out what your options are, and if there are any LEAP programmes or professional support that suits your needs.
