    Pennies

    Pennies is a charity that partners with other charities across the UK, Ireland and beyond, to facilitate micro donations at pay points in retailers and other businesses and we are delighted to have confirmed a partnership with them in the summer of 2025. 

    As a co-operative, we’re always looking to support our communities and give members an easy way to help local causes to make a difference. This solution lets customers donate effortlessly at the point of payment.

    Through their online platform customers are able, before entering their PIN to see an option to donate 10p , with donations going to the Doing Good Together fund (or another local charity) to help us provide small grants to community causes in need of support.

    Pennies as a charity receives 10% of any donation and this is invested in the technology that allows charities of all sizes to improve the card payment technology and to work with the businesses to improve donation levels and communicating the impact of these micro-donations.

    In five of our Cheltenham stores (Church St, Charlton Kings, Montpelier, Salisbury Avenue & Hesters Way) we will be been supporting the Cheltenham Open Door Charity through customer donations made via Pennies.
