This week I've been out visiting some of our Food stores, meeting colleagues and talking to them about retail violence as part of National ShopKind week, finding out more about how this is impacting them and how the measures we've introduced to protect them have been helping.
I also had the pleasure of presenting Implementation Manager, Jenny Wilkins with her 40 year service award, an absolutely incredible achievement!

Colleague Deaf Awareness Session
As I mentioned in my blog a couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending a Deaf Awareness Training Session for our colleagues at head office, which was brilliantly hosted by our community partners Zebra Access & Gloucestershire Deaf Awareness (GDA).
During the session we all had the opportunity to learn some basic sign language, as well as finding out about the challenges all Deaf and Hard of Hearing people face on a day-to-day basis, and how we can ensure all colleagues enjoy equal participation and access without communication barriers.

Finally, I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's AGM & Fairer Living Festival. The weather's looking fine, it should be a great day and I hope to see and meet many of you there!
